Luxury Villas and Apartments in Clifton & Bantry Bay
Known to some as Cape Town's St Tropez and home to some of the most exclusive real estate in Africa, Clifton and its neighbouring suburb Bantry Bay offer sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean from large luxurious villas and designer apartments that hug the steep mountain slopes above the sea, while in Clifton four of Cape Town's finest white sandy beaches bordered by huge boulders create an almost tropical feel despite both suburbs being just 15 minutes drive from central Cape Town, and a few minutes from the lively bars and restaurants along Camps Bay beachfront.
Here are some of the superb properties we have available in Clifton and Bantry Bay and a more detailed description of these fabulous destinations also follows below -

Aptly named for its vantage point and also for the location of its visionary owners, North sits high on the slopes of Signal Hill with an outlook that stretches across the city to the ocean, Robben Island, and far beyond. This newly built villa has a modern and exclusive design with a focus on stylish entertainment and supreme enjoyment of the spectacular views. Details
The extremely upmarket and fashionable residential suburb of Clifton is perched majestically on the steep lower slopes of Lion's Head mountain directly above the sparkling Atlantic Ocean, where four of Cape Town’s finest white sandy beaches make this a very popular holiday destination and indeed home for the international (and local) jet set, as well as a great base for exploring all that the Mother City has to offer.
Although there are few restaurants and no shops in either suburb, Clifton and its equally upmarket neighbour Bantry Bay, which is a little further along the coast towards the City, are both just a few minutes drive from the restaurants, night life and buzz of Camps Bay beachfront, and about 15 minutes the other way along the coast road from the V&A Waterfront and central Cape Town.
Famed for some of South Africa’s most lavish and luxurious designer villas, there are also smaller and less costly options available to rent in the large modern apartment blocks that often overlook the sea in both Clifton and Bantry Bay. Clifton also offers some fabulous converted beach bungalows right down by the sea, though access to these is often via long flights of steps so bear this in mind when considering a property down at beach level.
Both Clifton and Bantry Bay enjoy very sheltered locations tucked away on the less windy side of Lion's Head which also make them both sought after spots to stay during the sometimes very windy summer months in Cape Town when other popular suburbs close by including Camps Bay are more exposed to the strong south easterly wind or "Cape Doctor" as it is known historically.
The stunningly beautiful four Clifton beaches, which are named from 1st to 4th, are separated by falls of granite boulders and have almost pure white granitic sand, with "4th beach" (which has Blue Flag status) being the most popular and definitely the place to be seen by the glamorous in-crowd as well as being a frequent venue for photo shoots and you will often see large luxury yachts moored in the bay. The water, although chilly (12–16 °C) plays host to many water sports, mostly surfing, both board and body, with the strongest surf at 1st beach.
The westerly facing direction of both Clifton and Bantry Bay means that you are guaranteed a ring-side seat out over the Atlantic for the spectacular sunsets which we are so lucky to enjoy in this part of the world for so much of the year, and what better way to take this in than relaxing with a chilled glass of delicious South African wine on your pool deck or balcony at the end of another fabulous day in Cape Town!
