Full property description

The Map Room is an uplifting, charming cottage, on the last remaining dirt road in Franschhoek, that brings a little New York cool to the pretty heart of the winelands.

Left of the entrance a spiral staircase ascends through the ceiling, with the bedrooms spreading over the ground floor. The master suite with its huge bed, inventive use of milk pails, faded safari chairs, open bath of sultan-pleasing proportions and en-suite wet room. But upstairs is where it all happens as you emerge through the floor into a wonderfully sociable living and kitchen area.

Fold open the glass-panelled doors, park yourself on the terrace with a glass of wine and gaze out over the vineyard and the rugged mountain views. It has all this and yet is only a three minute stroll to the main street and it's collection of award-winning restaurants.
